Red Chilli Garlic Chutney

 

 

Today I am sharing Gujarati version of Garlic Chutney which is hot and spicy. It is used in Dabeli. I prepared this chutney for making Dabeli and the Dabeli recipe will be shared soon. The Red Chilli Garlic Chutney can be stored in refrigerator and used for 10-15 days.

INGREDIENTS :

(1) 25 Red whole Byadgi chillies
(2) 10 garlic buds
(3) Black Salt to taste
(4) 1-2 teaspoons of lemon juice

Time : 15 minutes for soaking chillies and rest of the preparation and 5 minutes for grinding.

METHOD :

(1) Take about 25 Byadgi chillies and soak them in warm water for 15 mins. After that drain the water.

(2) All ingredients set aside – Soaked Byadgi chillies, 10 garlic buds, black salt and lemon.


(3) Take soaked Byadgi chillies and garlic buds in the grinding jar.


(4) Add a little amount of black salt.


(5) Grind the mixture into a fine paste.

(6) Add about two teaspoons of lemon juice. I squeezed the deseeded lemon as shown.


(7) Mix well.


(8) Transfer the chutney in a serving bowl.


(9) Our Red Chilli Garlic Chutney is ready.


(10) You can relish this chutney with Vada Pav, Bhajias and Dabeli. It can also be accompanied with Roti Bhakri.
