Avocado Milkshake with ice cream

Avocado is also known by the name Makhanphal or Butter fruit. They are cultivated in the tropical and Mediterranean climate throughout the world.
Avocado is a pear shaped fruit with a long, slender neck and the colour ranges from green to dark purple. Botanically, the fruit is a berry and has a single large round seed in it.

This fruit is full of nutrients.  Avocado is rich in Vitamin A, B, C, E, K and traces of minerals including Magnesium and Potassium. It also contains good amount of dietary fibre and healthy fat.
Avocado benefits includes lower blood pressure, healthy heart,  better skin, protection against cancer, treats arthritis, treats constipation, guards against birth defects, improves nutrient intake and helps to reduce weight. These are some of the most important benefits that make it a good reason to eat this fruit on regular basis in some form.
For those who love Avocado, this fruit can be used to prepare creamy and smooth milkshake, which can be a treat during hot summers. But as Avocado is bland in taste, adding sugar is a must while preparing this milkshake.
Choose ripe Avocado by pressing it gently. If it is hard, it means that the Avocado is unripe. If it’s too soft, then it means Avocado is over ripe. If its soft, yet little firm,  then it means Avocado is ready.
Let’s go ahead to learn how to prepare this delicious, nutritious and creamy milkshake.

 

 

INGREDIENTS :

(1) Pulp of one Avocado
(2) 2 Cloves (Lavang)
(3) Seeds of 5 green Cardamoms (Hari Elaichi)
(4) 15 teaspoons of Sugar
(5) 500 ml of boiled and cooled Milk. You may use toned Cow’s Milk.
(6) 3 scoops of Vanilla ice cream
(7) 8 – 10 ice cubes
(8) 10 – 15 crushed / broken Pistachios, for garnishing (Optional)

Time : 15- 20 minutes

 

 

PREPARATION:

(1) Here I have taken 2 Cloves (Lavang).

(2) Then I have taken seeds of 5 green Cardamoms (Hari Elaichi).

(3) Grind them with 15 teaspoons of Sugar in a grinding jar. We get Clove and Cardamom flavoured Powdered Sugar.

Three types of Avocado Raitas

(4) 500 ml of boiled and cooled milk, pulp of one Avocado and Clove and Cardamom flavoured Powdered Sugar.

METHOD:

(1) Take the pulp of one Avocado in the jar of the blender.

(2) Add the powdered sugar that we prepared earlier.

(3) Add 300 ml of boiled and cooled Milk.

(4) Remaining 200 ml we add later while blending.

(5) Close the lid of the blending jar.

(6) Blend them until smooth.

(7) Add remaining 200 ml of boiled and cooled Milk. Then blend again.

(8) Add 3 scoops of Vanilla ice cream.

(9) Add 8-10 ice cubes.

(10) Cover and blend again.

(11) A smooth, creamy and frothy Avocado Milkshake is ready.

(12) Pour the Avocado Milkshake in the serving glasses.

(13) You may serve plain Avocado Milkshake with ice cream or with garnishing.

(14) Garnish with crushed / broken Pistachios.

(15) Relish and enjoy the Avocado Milkshake with ice cream.
