The season of Mangoes is going on and mango lovers not only eat mangoes but also prepare various recipes of mangoes using it. One such recipe is of Mango Frooti. It is a mango juice that is loved by kids as well as adults.
During off season, we fulfil the desires of mangoes by buying ready-made juices from the stores. Store bought mango juices contain additives and preservatives and are bad for our health. They also lack nutritional values.
Homemade mango juices don’t contain additives and preservatives and are good for our health.

In this recipe, you may use sweet mangoes of your choice. Taste the mango before preparing this recipe to understand the amount of sugar to be added to the juice you prepare. If the taste is sour, then you may need to add some sugar while preparation of this juice or else normal water would be good.

Lets get started to prepare Mango Frooti.
PREPARATION:
(1) Rinse the mangoes with the water to clean them and then pat them dry.
(2) First peel the raw mango. You may either use a knife or a peeler for peeling the mango. Once peeled, we will chop this raw mango. Here is the chopped raw mango. Discard the seed.
We use raw mango in this recipe to make the juice a bit tangy.
(3) Now peel the three ripe Kesar Mangoes one by one. Peel with a knife. Discard the peels and the seed. Chop the pulp and collect on a plate.
(4) I have peeled and chopped one Kesar Mango. Now, chop the other two Kesar Mangoes same way.
(5) All mangoes chopped….
Let’s begin the process of cooking the raw and ripe mango pulp that we had chopped. Also, preparing sugar solution. Then, preparing mango frooti.
METHOD:
(1) Put these chopped Raw Mango pulp and chopped ripe Kesar Mangoes pulp in a utensil as shown. You may use any utensil that you have.
Add 1 glass (250 ml) of water to this. Mix well.
(2) Then, we will heat the chopped mangoes pulp with water on a low flame of the gas stove, until they get cooked or softened.
(3) Next, take 200 grams of Sugar in another utensil. Add 1 large glass (500 ml) of water to it. You may add the quantity of sugar depending on the sweetness of mangoes or as per sweetness required.
(4) We will now heat this on a medium flame of the gas stove until the sugar completely dissolves in the water. We don’t have to have any string in the consistency of the sugar solution, but just heat until it dissolves in water.
This process will take 4-5 minutes minutes. Stir well.
Sugar solution and chopped mangoes in water being heated……
(5) After 4-5 minutes, the sugar have dissolved in the water. Switch off the gas flame.
(6) Also, the pulp of the mangoes have cooked in 5-7 minutes. Switch off its flame.
(7) Now, allow them to cool.
(8) Once cooled, collect the cooked mango pulp with the help of a perforated ladle and put them in the jar of a blender.
(9) Later, we will use this remaining water while blending.
(10) Blend the cooked mango pulp to form a smooth puree.
(11) Add this water from cooking mango pulp to the blending jar.
Once again blend to form a smooth puree.
(12) Here is the puree of the cooked mango pulp.
(13) Keep ready one utensil, mango puree and sugar solution.
(14) Now, in this utensil, pour the mango puree from the blending jar. Mix well.
We can see that the consistency of the juice is very thick.
(15) Add the sugar solution that we had prepared. Mix well.
(16) We can see that the consistency of this mango frooti is still thick.
(17) So, add one more glass (250 ml) of water to it. Also, check the sweetness while adding water. Adjust accordingly. Mix well.
(18) I have added a total of 4 glasses (1 litre) of water in this mango frooti recipe.
(19) Now, strain this Mango Frooti in another utensil to remove the lumps of pulp or any fiber in it. Check how I am doing it.
(20) A small amount of fiber has remained back in the strainer. This is because the mangoes were not that fibrous. Discard the remaining fiber.
